Dixons to sell Electro World units in Hungary

The UK’s Dixons group plans to sell the Hungarian, Czech and Polish units of its consumer electronics chain Electro World, business daily Világgazdaság reported on Monday.

Combined operating losses of the three units came to £6.8 million in Dixons’ last business year, an improvement over losses of $9.3 million in the previous year; still, Dixons sees little chance to make the units profitable because of competition from hypermarkets, Világgazdaság said. (MTI-Econews)
