Diageo Plc, the maker of Guinness beer, Smirnoff vodka and Bushmills whiskey, plans to spend Ft 5.25 billion expanding its financial services center in Budapest, the company said yesterday.
Diageo Üzletviteli Szolgáltatások Kft, the company's Hungarian unit, will double its workforce at the center to 600, the Economy Ministry said in a statement, citing Managing Director Stephen Smith. The statement didn't say when the expansion would be completed. Diageo's Hungarian center, opened in 2001, administers financial services to Diageo subsidiaries in 15 countries.
