French sporting goods chain Decathlon will open two new stores in Hungary next month and is planning to open a further two stores in the country next year.
Decathlon will open stores in Zalaegerszeg (west Hungary) and Miskolc (northeast Hungary) in November, increasing the chain’s retail floor space in Hungary by 25,000 square meters and the total number of people it employs in the country from 400 to 480, the newspaper wrote.
The business daily Világgazdaság said that Decathlon is planning to open stores in Szombathely (west Hungary ) and Kecskemét (central Hungary) in 2009. The sporting goods chain currently operates six stores in Hungary. (MTI-Econews)
