German car maker Daimler's new unit in Hungary has hired more than 70 Hungarians so far, and it is speeding up recruitment of specialists with technical backgrounds,Mercedes-Benz Manufacturing Hungary (MBMH) PR director Edina Kozári Sztipich told MTI.
The new hires get basic instruction in Hungary before training at Daimler's plants in Germany, Kozári Sztipich said.
Daimler is building a €800 million plant in the Hungarian city of Kecskemet. It is expected to start operating in 2012, creating 2,500 jobs.
The plant will turn out an annual 100,000 compact models. (MTI - Econews)
