The economy minister has asked Csaba Kilián, investment director at the Hungarian Investment and Trade Development Agency (ITD Hungary), to take over as acting head of the agency after director György Rétfalvi was sacked on Monday, the ministry said on Tuesday.
Rétfalvi was recalled based on the results of an investigation by the Government Review Office (KEHI) that put his competence in question, the ministry told MTI on Monday. Rétfalvi was recalled from his post effective immediately and will not receive any severance pay, the ministry said.
The ministry announced the investigation in September.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Rétfalvi said he considered the decision of the economy minister legally unjustified, adding that he would follow a legal path in the matter. He also called for the results of the investigation by KEHI to be published. (MTI-Econews)
