Credit Agricole CIB's profit rose 75% in H1 in Hungary

Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank (CA-CIB), the Hungarian investment unit of France's Crédit Agricole, announced HUF 700 million after-tax earnings for the first half of this year on Thursday, 75% up on HUF 400 million in H1 2010. 

Total assets were almost unchanged at HUF 158 billion at the end of the first half, instead of HUF 159 billion a year ago.

Loans tallied HUF 65 billion, in place of HUF 73 billion a year ago, while clients' deposits grew to HUF 56 billion, compared to HUF 47 billion in H1 2010.
