The Budapest municipal court has rejected appeals by bidders in a tender for new mobile frequencies to reverse Hungary's National Communication Authority (NHH) decisions canceling the tender, the NHH announced.
The court decision is non-appealable.
NHH called the mobile frequencies tender in October 2008, but scrapped it in March because of the global crisis. After appeals by three of the four bidders, the chairman of NHH's council affirmed the first-instance decision in April.
The tender would have allowed a fourth player entry on Hungary's mobile communications market.
Four companies -- Digi, DreamCom, Invitel and Mobinet -- had submitted bids in the tender, of which Digi and DreamCom requested a review of the NHH decisions by the municipal court. (MTI – Econews)
