Comtex Green has started selling REVA electric cars in Budapest, CEO János Szabó announced on Tuesday in Budapest.
Comtex is the exclusive distributor of REVA cars in Hungary, and expects to sell 100 electric cars in the next twelve months.
Comtex operates one office in Budapest and one in Debrecen (E Hungary), but plans to open one in every county capital in the country over the next twelve months.
The electric cars are produced by the Indian-American REVA Electric Car Company in India. The cars are only available by order and delivered in three months. The battery contained in the REVA cars must be recharged every 8 hours, while the cars have a maximum range of 80km and top speed of 80km per hour. The basic model costs €12,000.
There are a total of 4,000 REVA cars used around the world, including 1,500 in England. (MTI-ECONEWS)
