Hungary's Competition Office (GVH) said it fined mobile telecommunications company Vodafone Magyarország HUF 40 million for unfair business practices.
GVH said Vodafone had advertised in text messages a game in which clients could win summer trips or a summer home on Lake Balaton. But the company did not tell clients they had to register first, before having a chance to win.
A large number of the clients who played the game failed to register, thus missing out on any chance to win, GVH said. (MTI – Econews)
