Chris Houghton to take top spot at Ericsson Magyarország

Chris Houghton will take over as CEO of the Hungarian unit of wireless communications equipment maker Ericsson from August, Ericsson Magyarország told MTI.

Houghton, who is currently deputy-CEO of Ericsson Japan, will replace Gábor Éry, who headed the unit for three years, during which time it achieved double-digit annual growth and increased its share of the 3G mobile network market to 70%.

Ericsson Magyarország had revenue of HUF 46.2 billion in 2008, roughly level with a year earlier. (MTI-ECONEWS)
