U.K. clinical research company Chiltern International will open an office in Budapest, Attila Lőrinc, the head of Chiltern's Hungarian unit, told MTI on Wednesday.
Lőrinc said that Chiltern, which deals with the planning and implementation of clinical research, expects to receive business primarily from companies operating in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors.
Chiltern plans to employ between two and five people at its office in Budapest over the short term and 15 to 20 people over the medium term.
Chiltern already conducts operations in Russia, Ukraine, Poland and the Czech Republic, and it plans to expand to Romania during the fourth quarter of the year.
Chiltern employs a total of 1,400 people at its units in 28 countries. (MTI-ECONEWS)
