CBA turnover flat in 2010

Revenue of CBA shops in Hungary edged up 1.4% to HUF 555 billion in 2010, the Hungarian-owned supermarket company told MTI on Wednesday.

There are 3,359 CBA shops operated by 2,627 franchise owners. About 200 smaller shops were closed last year.

There are 64 high-end CBA Prima shops, and seven shops under the recently launched discount brand Cent.

Strong demand for Hungarian specialties at the Paris International Agricultural Show in February has inspired CBA to plan “Hungaricum” stores in Paris, Berlin, Brussels and London.
