Tire makers Continental and Hankook will continue to expand their operations in Hungary, instead of relying on the Asian manufacturing capacities.
Continental, however, also building a new production site in China to compensate the capacity of the plant meant to be closed in Hannover, Germany. Meanwhile, the company continues its expansion in the Hungarian facilities.
South-Korean Hankook is, at the same time, speeding up the building process of its Hungarian unit in Rácalmás, in order to save on shipping costs due to the South-Korean and Chinese manufacturing sites.
