The Los Angeles-based Capital Research Management Company sold 33,614 shares in Egis, thus reducing Capital Research's stake in the Hungarian pharmaceutical company to 4.93% from 5.36%, Egis announced on Wednesday.
Egis is 50.91% owned by the French group Servier.
The current transaction leaves one more shareholder with a stake in excess of 5%: FTIF Templeton Eastern Europe Fund which held 5.76% of the shares on March 31, 2010.
Egis shares trade in the A-category at the Budapest Stock Exchange. (MTI-ECONEWS)
