The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index rose 1.06% to 22,362.05 on Monday as blue chips OTP, MOL and Richter advanced, but Magyar Telekom fell. MOL rose into the green on last-minute purchases at the end of the session.
OTP Bank gained 2.95% to HUF 5,450 on turnover of HUF 9 billion, oil and gas company MOL rose 0.51% to HUF 19,900 on turnover of HUF 1.9 billion, drug maker Richter advanced 1.11% to HUF 45,450 on turnover of HUF 1.9 billion and Magyar Telekom lost 1.00% to HUF 592 on turnover of HUF 1.9 billion.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 15.1 billion for the session.
The bourse's mid-cap BUMIX index fell 0.36% to 2,034.91.
Major Western European share indices were all up, with London's FTSE gaining 0.49%, Frankfurt's DAX rising 0.83% and the CAC-40 in Paris advancing 0.10%.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 fell 0.74% and Prague's PX-50 dropped also 0.74%. (MTI – Econews)
