BUX opens up 0.29%, analysts expect local trading will follow positive market sentiments in global markets
The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index opened Friday trade up 0.29% at 22,907.38.
BSE blue chips stood as follows at Friday’s opening bell:
OTP Bank was up 0.63% at HUF 5,610; Magyar Telekom was up 0.34% at HUF 587; Drug company Richter was up 0.12% at HUF 36,980; Oil and gas company MOL was unchanged at HUF 24,000.
On Thursday, the BUX closed up 1.87% at 22,840.88 on a turnover of HUF 16.8 billion.
Péter Varjú of Erste Investment and Zsolt Balásy of Concorde Securities both predicted that the positive sentiment currently predominating on global markets would provide the value of shares traded at the Budapest Stock Exchange with a boost on Friday.
