The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index closed down 1.07% at 23,011.77 on Wednesday, falling along with Western European share indices.
OTP Bank lost 1.81% to HUF 5,700 on turnover of HUF 8.5 billion, oil and gas company MOL inched down 0.05% to HUF 20,690 on turnover of HUF 1.8 billion, drug maker Richter dropped 1.71% to HUF 46,000 on turnover of HUF 1 billion and Magyar Telekom fell 1.03% to HUF 578 on turnover of HUF 1.4 billion.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 13.3 billion for the session.
The bourse's mid-cap BUMIX index closed down 0.34% at 2,104.09.
Big Western European share indices all fell, with London's FTSE losing 0.66%, Frankfurt's DAX dropping 0.24% and the CAC-40 in Paris down 1.01%.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 rose 0.48% and Prague's PX-50 advanced 0.81%. (MTI – Econews)
