The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index rose 0.88% to 22,471.70 at noon on Tuesday, advancing along with Western European and regional peers.
The BSE's four blue chip shares were mixed; OTP Bank gained 1.15% to HUF 5,093, oil and gas company MOL advanced 2.46% to HUF 20,800, drug maker Richter lost 0.60% to HUF 44,725 and Magyar Telekom fell 0.15% to HUF 669.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 4.6 billion for the morning.
Major Western European share indices were all rising, with London's FTSE gaining 0.83%, Frankfurt's DAX advancing 0.89% and the CAC-40 in Paris rising 0.96%.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 inched up 0.08% and Prague's PX-50 gained 0.83%. (MTI – Econews)
