The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index closed down 0.69% at 22,160.20 on Wednesday, falling along with its Western European and regional peers.
OTP Bank lost 1.37% to HUF 5,050 on turnover of HUF 5.6 billion, oil and gas company MOL inched down 0.02% to HUF 20,695 on turnover of HUF 1.7 billion, drug maker Richter fell 1.70% to HUF 43,050 on turnover of HUF 3.6 billion and Magyar Telekom rose 0.45% to HUF 664 on turnover of HUF 0.3 billion.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 11.5 billion for the session.
The bourse's mid-cap BUMIX index finished the session down 0.32% at 2,022.12.
Major Western European share indices were all down, with London's FTSE falling 0.59%, Frankfurt's DAX dropping 0.47% and the CAC-40 in Paris losing 0.59%.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 lost 0.54% and Prague's PX-50 fell 1.01%. (MTI – Econews)
