The Budapest Stock Exchange's main BUX index fell 0.37% to 23,028.02 at noon on Wednesday, losing along with its Western European peers.
OTP Bank dropped 0.60% to HUF 5,487, oil and gas company MOL inched up 0.02% to HUF 20,500, drug maker Richter fell 0.80% to HUF 45,630 and Magyar Telekom lost 0.44% to HUF 677.
Share turnover amounted to HUF 4.91 billion for the morning.
Major Western European share indices were all down, with London's FTSE falling 1.36%, Frankfurt's DAX losing 0.57% and the CAC-40 in Paris dropping 0.71%.
Elsewhere in the CEE region, Warsaw's WIG-20 lost 0.22% and Prague's PX-50 rose 0.40%. (MTI – Econews)
