Hungary's Budafilter'94 on Friday laid the cornerstone of a HUF 290 million PET bottle recycling plant in Mezőfalva (C Hungary).
Budafilter'94 has won a combined HUF 128 million in state and EU grants for the investment.
The plant is expected to start operating in September, after a three-month test phase, said Budafilter'94's Szilvia Nagy. It will turn out an annual 720 tons of shredded plastic and 600 tons of granules, she added. The investment will create 42 jobs.
Budafilter'94 owner Lajos Simon is the inventor of the Thermo Press, a plastic bottle compactor which has sold more than 20,000 units. (MTI-Econews)
