Hungarian-owned electric car maker Brixxon Electric MotorCars plans to build a 1,000-1,500 square meter plant in Hungary.
The plant will employ about 70 staff, including 40 engineers and developers.
Serial production of car parts will start in Hungary and in German from May, and the cars will be assembled in Switzerland, Austria, Lithuania and Bulgaria.
Brixxon Electric MotorCars has already made agreements with franchise partners in Vilnius and Potsdam, owner and managing director Sándor László Horváth told MTI. Talks with potential partners in Budapest were not successful, he added.
Talks are still underway on the location of the plant in Hungary, Horváth said.
