German industrial group Robert Bosch wants to expand its program to cut working hours because of the worldwide crisis in the automotive industry, the company’s works council head told a German newspaper.
Bernhard van Dyken said in an interview with Euro am Sonntag on Saturday that the company is now in talks with the works council to expand the short working hours program to the power tools segment. The goal is to implement it by April, he said. He said the company is planning also to cut working hours in its development unit, which could have an impact on up to 17,000 engineers and technicians.
