German engineering giant Bosch laid the cornerstone of a HUF 6.5 billion production hall at its base in Miskolc. HUF 981 million of the costs will be covered by support from the North-Hungary Operative program and the city development company Miskolc Holding will contribute HUF 140 million.
Bosch Energy Body Systems plant director Leopold Klaus, Miskolc Mayor Sandor Kali and National Economy Ministry state secretary Sándor Czomba participated at the ceremony.
The expansion is planned to be completed in May 2011 and it will create 400 jobs. The Miskolc-based Robert Bosch Energy and Body Systems currently employs more than 1,400 people to make starters, drive shafts and windshield washer systems. (MTI - Econews)
