The Hungarian unit of UK clothing company Berwin and Berwin had a HUF 200 million loss on revenue of HUF 3.055 billion in 2010, Berwin Ruhagyár CFO Attila Kiss told MTI on Monday.
About 98% of sales came from exports to the parent company, Kiss said.
Berwin and Berwin's acquisition of a German peer could bring a big increase in production volume to Hungary, he said. Orders from the German company could make up one-third of Berwin Ruhagyáar's turnover, he added.
This year Berwin Ruhagyár aims to maintain headcount and break even.
The company employs 520 people at its plant in Vásárosnaményi and 50 at its logistics centre in Budapest. (MTI-Econews)
