Becton Dickinson to build €100 mln disposable syringe plant in Hungary

US medical supplies company Becton Dickinson has started construction of a €100 million disposable syringe plant in the Hungarian city of Tatabánya, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported on Tuesday.

Becton Dickinson told MTI it would build the plant in Tatabánya in January. The company picked the location because of its proximity to markets and the local pool of skilled laborers. The company had planned to build the plant in the Hungarian city of Veresegyháza, but scrapped the plans because of opposition by local residents. (MTI-Econews)
