Baths submit package of recommendations

The Hungarian Baths Association has submitted to the relevant minister a package of proposals requesting that the government reconsider current practices related to support of public-bath investments, formulate a multi-level development strategy, restructure public-bath regulation and establish a unified set of conditions pertaining to public baths, the business daily Vilaggazdaság reported on Friday.

The Hungarian Baths Association believes that above requisites have become particularly pertinent in Hungary, where health tourism could become a leading source of growth in the tourism sector, particularly during Health Tourism Year in 2011.

Világgazdaság reported that each year between 23 million and 24.5 million people visit public baths in Hungary, which generated net revenue of more than HUF 50 billion in 2008. (MTI-ECONEWS)
