Audi Hungária, the Hungarian unit of German car company Audi, produced 1.51 million motors in the first nine months of 2008, a year-on-year (yr/yr) increase of 3%, while the company assembled 50,700 vehicles during the period, up a yr/yr 9%, the business daily Világgazdaság reported.
Audi Hungária expects to produce a total of more than 60,000 cars in 2008, compared to 56,000 in 2007, the newspaper wrote.
Világgazdaság reported that Audi Hungária plans to spend Ft 200 million on developments in 2008. Audi Hungária has recently completed a more than €4 million in investments at its plant in Győr (NW Hungary) that will enable the company to assemble 12-cylinder diesel motors in its 8- and 10-cylinder motor production hall, the newspaper wrote.
