Revenue of the Hungarian unit of German car maker Audi rose 23.2% to €4.775 billion in 2010, company managers said at a press conference in Ingolstadt on Tuesday.
Pre-tax profit of Audi Hungaria Motor doubled to €580 million. Operating profit reached €550 million.
Capital expenditures at the unit were up 32% at €247 million. Audi has invested more than €4 billion in Hungary since establishing a unit in the country.
Audi spent more than €92 million on the development of three engine types, €24 million on the purchase of land for a plant expansion and €14m on basic developments during the year.
At a group level, Audi Group concluded the 2010 fiscal year with a revenue of €35.4 billion. The company had €3.34 billion in operating profit and operating return on sales came to 9.4% in 2010.
More than 1 million Audi brand automobiles were delivered during 2010, the company said.
The cash-flow from operating activities were significantly higher than in the previous year, and came to €5,797 million up from €4,119 million.
The company expects to deliver more than 1.2 million Audis in 2011.
