Hungarian broadcaster Antenna Hungária and T-Mobile Hungary have launched a mobile television trial using DVB-H technology.
The two company will be testing how Antenna Hungária’s broadcasting network could be connected to T-Mobile’s mobile technology such that DVB-H could be enabled, thus providing telecasting on any mobile device that is equipped with a television receiver. The companies’ telecommunications systems will be tested for interoperability during the technological tests in the first half of the year.
Currently two types of mobile telephones are available with a feature to receive the broadcasted programs. The digital mobile television test includes 4 public channels, namely the programs of M1, M2, Duna and Duna 2 Autonomia to provide a new experience for watching television with the latest mobile devices.
