Baked goods company Anker Hungária Kft will build a new factory to produce bread and frozen and semi-finished bakery products, according to the Friday issue of business daily Napi Gazdaság.
Excluding machinery, the investment will cost Ft 250 million-Ft 300 million. Anker Hungária plans to transfer its operations to the new factory in Keszthely, west Hungary by the end of the summer.
Anker managing director Zoltán Méry told the paper that the new, larger factory will enable the company to increase production and expand its product range. The company plans to eventually supplement the new factory with a logistics center, which is to include packaging facilities, according to Napi Gazdaság.
Last year, Anker Hungária generated revenue of over Ft 1 billion. The company currently employs 150 people and plans to hire 25-30 new employees following completion of the current greenfield investment.
