Hungarian bus maker Alfa Busz has delivered the first part of a €10 million order for 50 vehicles to the council of Leningrad Oblast in Russia, the company told MTI on Friday.
Alfa Busz shipped five buses to Leningrad Oblast. The contract, signed in 2007, is for 50 long-distance buses built on Volvo frames.
Alfa Busz targets revenue of HUF 12 billion in 2009. It is bidding in tenders -- together with Volvo -- called in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia and Romania.
The company will hold talks with a delegation from Moscow at the beginning of April, but, in addition to state orders, it is interested in deliveries to Russia’s private sector. (MTI-Econews)
