US chemical company Albemarle Corporation opened a $1 million service center in Budapest on Wednesday.
Budapest was in competition for the service center with several other cities worldwide, but Albemarle found the well-qualified and motivated young workforce with foreign-language skills it needed in Hungary, CEO-president Mark Rohr said at the opening ceremony for the center.
Investment and Trade Development Hungary (ITDH) CEO Csaba Kilián said ITDH provided assistance to the US company in building contacts and finding employees. Kilián told MTI that Albemarle received no financial assistance for establishment of the service centre. (MTI-ECONEWS)
