QBE Insurance has received a list of some 1,500 clients of troubled travel agency Aeroviva, but whether the company's HUF 494 million bond will cover their claims cannot be said until the exact amounts of the claims are known, QBE chief Attila Dénes told MTI on Wednesday.
More than a thousand clients of Aeroviva, which announced it was ending its travel agent and trip organisation activities from Monday, have made more than 400 claims worth about HUF 200 million against the company, Dénes said. No claims for assistance have been made, which probably means that Aeroviva was able to cover return flights for travellers, he added.
Aeroviva said on Monday that it had done everything possible to keep operating, but could not continue because of the economic situation. (MTI-ECONEWS)
