AECOM Technology Corporation, provider of professional technical and management support services and Organica Technologies, the developer of an ecological wastewater treatment technology have entered a partnership agreement.
The cooperation between the companies will focus on three geographical areas: North America, United Kingdom, and Southeast Asia and is aimed toward introducing this new technology in these regions.
Organica Technology integrates reactor based adaptive ecosystems and traditional engineering solutions to create highly efficient wastewater treatment in a characteristically botanical garden look and feel, enclosed in a greenhouse. The technology opens new opportunities in urban design and architectural solutions. Engineered complex ecosystems can be easily integrated into the urban landscape while offering a high level of treatment in line with sustainable design principles.
“AECOM is pleased to partner with Organica and provide our clients with an opportunity to consider this innovative, effective, and sustainable approach to wastewater treatment,” stated Steven Guttenplan, chief technology officer of AECOM Global Water.
