The Budapest Stock Exchange's blue-chip BUX index was up 0.54% at noon on Wednesday on gains from heavyweight issuers OTP Bank, Richter and Magyar Telekom. The BUX commenced afternoon trade 105.05 points higher at 19,611.09 on a heavy composite exchange turnover of HUF 5 billion. BSE blue-chips stood as follows at Wednesday noon: OTP was up 1.71% at HUF 4,765 on an exchange-high turnover of HUF 3.42 billion; Drug company Richter was up 0.81% at HUF 37,500 on a turnover of HUF 245 million; Magyar Telekom was up 0.25% at HUF 409 on a turnover of HUF 257 million; Oil and gas company MOL was down 0.53% at HUF 18,600 on a turnover of HUF 843 million. Major European blue-chip stock indices were lower at midday, with London's FTSE-100 down 0.02% and Frankfurt's Xetra DAX down 0.18%. The BUX's central and eastern European high-cap peer indices were also mixed at noon, with Prague's PX-50 up 0.27% and Warsaw's WIG-20 down 0.38%.
