Zwack, Waberer?s sign multi-billion-forint logistics contract

Spirits manufacturer Zwack Unicum Rt sealed a three-year transportation, logistics and distribution agreement with Waberer?s Group worth several billion forints. In line with the agreement, Zwack will move its stock to the Budapest Intermodal Logistics Center (BILK), developed by Waberer?s in cooperation with state railway company MÁV Rt and the largest of its kind in Central Europe. Zwack will occupy a 15,000-sqm built-to-suit facility. Currently, BILK has a total capacity of 15,000 sqm, with plans to build 200,000 sqm by the end of 2006 with a Ft 25 billion investment. The project will eventually create 1,000 new jobs in the southwestern commuter belt of Budapest.
