ZAEV wins Ft 2 bln spa, water park tender

Zala General Construction Enterprise Rt (ZAÉV) has won a Ft 2 billion tender to build a spa and water park for the city of Szentgotthárd, near Hungary's border with Austria, according to the Procurement Gazette. ZAEV beat Alterra Construction Kft and Hunép Universal Építoipari Rt in the tender. The project involves constructing buildings with combined floor space of 16,000 sqm and 1,900 sqm of pools. The spa and water park are being built on a 23,000-square-metre property owned by the local council. The city is paying for the project with a Ft 1.5 billion 20-year loan, and a Ft 300 million state grant. The spa and park are expected to be completed by Q3 2006.
