Vodafone gains ground, mobile phone subscriptions rise in September

Hungary's three wireless services companies reported combined mobile phone subscriptions of 9.074 million late in September, the National Communications Authority (NHH) reported on Thursday. The figure is 0.59% higher than a month earlier and 8.29% more than a year earlier, the NHH said. Penetration increased from 89.4 subscriptions per 100 people to 90 in September. Penetration was 83 subscriptions per 100 people in September 2004.
T-Mobile Hungary's share of the market fell from 45.29% to 45.13% in September, Pannon GSM's fell from 34.11% to 33.95%, while Vodafone's rose from 20.60% to 20.92%.
