The municipality of Veszprém, west Hungary, has announced an EU public procurement tender to have a sports hall built in the city, deputy mayor Ferenc Hartmann said. The hall is to host 5,100 people, which is the third largest sports hall of Hungary following Budapest's Papp László Sports Arena and Debrecen's Főnix Hall. Bids are invited by November 14, talks about the construction will start in January next year. 5-8 bids are expected, Hartmann said. The winner may also operate the hall until the end of 2021.
