Vestas to build windmill factory

Hungary is expected to host the first Central and Eastern European windmill factory of Vestas Holding AG, which owns about 32% of the world's windmill market, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported. The corresponding negotiations are to be concluded by year-end. The Hungarian subsidiary is to produce the poles of the windmills, which are difficult and expensive to transport. The preparation of the several billion forint investment has accelerated shortly after the increase in demand in Hungary and in Central Europe. Investments using Vestas technology which have already been prepared are worth over Ft 30 billion.
