US Ambassador to Hungary George H. Walker is optimistic about the growth potential of Hungarian economy, business news portal Napi Online reported. The diplomat said he did not agree with skeptics and believed that the outlook is positive. To support his opinion, he mentioned that FDI in Hungary has never been so high as in Q1 2005, with the country attracting $1.1 billion new capital. Reinvested capital accounted for 70% of this, which means investors felt their previous experience in Hungary justified business confidence and new projects, according to Walker.
