UPC Hungary Kft will launch its cable telephone service in Salgótarján, north Hungary in September, online news portal Index reported citing MTI information. Salgótarján will be the fourth city in the region after Miskolc, Eger and Gyöngyös where the company introduces its ?triple play? service, meaning subscribers can access cable TV, internet and telephone services through a single cable. UPC declined to comment on the value of the investment, saying only that it has spent nearly Ft 1 billion on technology to enable the new service in the last four years. UPC is offering several phone packages, these include free calls within its network, which currently cover 14 cities.
