Transelektro expects $140 million in Asia

Transelektro Energy and Environment Rt hopes to be commissioned to build power plants in Vietnam and Indonesia, CEO János Guba told business daily Világgazdaság. Economy Minister János Kóka, on his Far East tour, signed an agreement on providing a $35 million favourable state loan to facilitate a 30 megawatt coal power plant in Vietnam. The constructor will be Transelektro, Guba said. Thanks in part to its lengthy preparatory work, they are likely to sign the contract in September. In Indonesia the consortium of Transelektro and the Romanian company Romelektro expects to get a commission worth $140 million to build two coal power plants with capacity of 55 megawatt each, of which Transelektro?s share would be about $100 million.
