Creaton Hungary Rt, the Hungarian subsidiary of DAX-listed Creaton AG, has opened a roof tile factory in Lenti, near the western border, which will become operational in a few days, business daily Világgazdaság reported. Built with a greenfield investment of Ft 4.5 billion, the plant will churn out 20 million roof tiles a year. The proximity of neighboring countries and the availability of high-quality clay near the town were the key factors in Creaton?s decision to build the factory in Lenti. The plant will employ a staff of 50 and export 30%-40% of its products. Currently, Creaton has a 6% market share in Hungary.
