TAV plans large investments at airport

If winning the privatization tender of Budapes Airport Rt (BA), Turkish company TAV would carry out the biggest Turkish investment in Europe, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported. Ferihegy Airport badly needs major investments to be ranked as it should, said TAV advisor László Némethy, managing director of Financial Consultant Kft. TAV's two major owners, Tepe and Akfen are the biggest constucting and property developing companies in Turkey. Capacities of the airports operated by TAV will total 43 million passengers at the end of 2006.
