T-Mobile launches 3G service

Mobile operator T-Mobile Rt has launched its commercial 3G service today on its third generation network, which covers some 75% of Budapest, the company announced. 3G, which offers fast data transfer rates, videophone, music downloads and mobile TV, will be available in nearly the entire city by the end of the year. In order to accelerate 3G uptake, T-Mobile is offering its clients free videophone calls within Hungary until December 31, and will also not charge for data transfer and specific 3G content on its 3G network until September 30.
