T-Com Rt has come up with the best offer for the tender to set up and operate the unified digital radio system (EDR), a radio network to be used exclusively by the emergency and security services, Napi Gazdaság reported. The winner has agreed to set up the EDR by January 2007, and will hand over the system to the Hungarian State, free of charge, after a ten-year tenure. T-Com will charge less than Ft 10 billion to the Hungarian State and the emergency and security services. The consortium of MVM Rt and Saab Contracting AB also submitted bid for the tender, while the consortium of Antenna Hungária Rt and Siemens Rt, which had previously expressed interest in the tender, did not submit a bid.
