Sinergy signs deal on new gas engines in Ózd

Following months? of negotiations, Sinergy Kft signed an agreement with the municipality of Ózd, North Hungary to replace the local heating company?s two old gas engines, daily Népszabadság reported. Sinergy, co-owned by ÉMÁSZ Rt and Elmű Rt, agreed to pay Ft 200 million in usage fee, Ft 100 million on upgrades and an annual Ft 2 million for leasing, as well as an operation fee of Ft 4 million to Ózd District Heat Kft to use the new engines. In addition, Sinergy will supply the town with hot water for 5 months in summer. The two gas engines will be of 2.4 MW capacity each, producing 4.8 MW of thermic and 4.8 MW of electric energy. The companyplans to start the operation on 25 December.
