Small shareholders in broadcaster Antenna Hungária Rt say they are unconcerned that the company is bidding for a big contract before an impending buyout offer, business daily Napi Gazdaság reported. Antenna is bidding to build a digital emergency services radio communications network, which experts say is worth between Ft 20 billion and Ft 50 billion, at the same time the state is offering its 75%-plus-one-share stake in Antenna Hungária for privatization. The IT and Telecommunications Ministry will announce the winners of the first round of bidding in the radio system tender today, and the deadline for bidding in the second round is August 15. Small shareholders' association Tebesz yesterday said that the outcome of the radio system tender would not affect the price offered for Antenna Hungária shares in a public purchase offer which will follow the sale of the state's stake.
